Jesse Bradford (born May 28, 1979) is an actor from the United States. He began his career as a child actor when he was five years old, and his performances in King of the Hill in 1993 and Far From Home: The Adventures of Yellow Dog in 1995 earned him two Young Artist Award nominations for Best Leading Young Actor in a Feature Film.

Bradford was born Jesse Bradford Watrouse in Norwalk, Connecticut, the only child of commercial, soap opera, and industrial film performers Terry Porter and Curtis Watrouse. In Hackers, his mother also played his character’s mother (1995). Jonathan Svec (of the bands Splender and Edison) and Sarah Messer, a writer and poet, are Bradford’s cousins. At the age of eight months, he made his acting debut in a Q-Tip advertisement. Bradford began modeling and auditioning for acting parts with the help of his parents; his first film appearance was as Robert De Niro’s son in Falling in Love (1984).
He was a self-described geology nerd at Brien McMahon High School, where he graduated. Bradford was Homecoming King, captain of the tennis team, and his high school classmates picked him “best handsome” and “favorite actor” (although he was not in the drama club). He went on to Columbia University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in film in 2002.

In the year 2002, he starred in two films: Clockstoppers and Swimfan. During the fifth season of The West Wing, he also played White House intern Ryan Pierce for nine episodes.
Bradford portrayed Rene Gagnon in the 2006 film Flags of Our Fathers, which was based on James Bradley’s novel of the same name.
