Tarrio, 37, admitted to attempting to obtain a high-capacity firearm magazine, which is illegal in Washington. According to investigators, he had the magazines with him when he arrived in the city on Jan. 6 to protest the electoral vote count in Congress.
Prosecutors recommended a 90-day prison term, followed by three months of probation and a stay-away order from Washington. The judge sentenced him to 155 days in prison.
