The Ramsey County Sheriff’s office revealed on Wednesday that they had suffered a tragic loss earlier in the week when one of their officers passed away unexpectedly.

Edeburn’s Sunday duty came to a close, and the sheriff’s office found that he had not gone home when his job finished. After searching the area between the police station and his home, the officers discovered him already dead inside his vehicle. An early autopsy showed that there were no indications of damage or trauma.
Edeburn’s patrol vehicle was hit by a car that had been stolen from Mounds View police in March of the previous year, which resulted in major injuries to Edeburn. After he had fully recovered from his injuries, he was able to go back to doing all of his regular tasks.
Edeburn was the recipient of an Injured First Responder Grant from Running 4 Heroes Inc. in the previous year.
Sideburn was employed by the section that dealt with violent crime, the courts, the patrol division, and the training division. During SWAT operations, the sheriff’s office lauded him for the heroic acts he took and commended him for his bravery.
